Trees From Long Beach International Quilt Festival
Oh! I had a wonderful time at Long Beach! The quilts were beautiful! And there were so many!
Looking through my pictures, I see a few trees so I thought I would post my pics as encouragement and inspiration for my class members… Remember we are having a tree swap this fall! 12 tree blocks… Each 12 1/2″ minimum. 13″ Minimum if appliqued.
Check these trees out…
Okay, this one is branches, but still pretty…
Boy! OH Boy! Stunning!
Lots or trees…
Close up…
Detail… WOW! Each leaf a separate piece!
Tree of Life… love that crazy patch background!
Exquisite…
Traditional blocks in a great set…
Tree Collage… Such depth…
And speaking of depth…. simply beautiful.
So these are all whole quilts and the designs stand alone. But maybe they will inspire some detail or other for our class swap blocks. Besides, they are all worth a look!
And I’m sure I missed more than a few tree quilts at the show. If you have any to share, let me know…
I’ll be posting more from the show soon!
