I’ve often thought quiltmaking is much like film making. You choose a pattern as your “script”. Then pull together your “cast” of fabrics, You might even make a practice block as a “rehearsal”. Then you set to work…putting together each scene or block and hoping that, in the end, it all matches your vision. Sometimes the cast works beautifully together and your project wins awards. Other times… well, we’ve all seen those results!
Sunset and Vine is an Oscar® worthy quilt… with its array of stars and that “Walk of Fame” path running through it. And yet, broken down, each unit is easy to put together.
