“Stash Safe” Stash Reduction Quilt Pattern and Swap
We do a lot of Fabric Swaps in my quilting classes. This one is specifically designed to pull only from your stash and make a very scrappy quilt. But I’ll let you in on a secret… This quilt could be made from a Jelly Roll, Layer Cake, Charm Pack or even Fat Quarters!
Are you StABLE?
That is…
STash Acquired Beyond Life Expectancy? Then this pattern is for you! Dig through your fabrics, your scraps and leftovers because this quilt needs lots of 2 1/2″ squares! The free Stash Safe pattern PDF is available below.
One yard of each to yield twelve ea. 10″ squares (No Selvedges Please)
Pre washed and pressed
Fold together four different 10″ squares as a Swap Unit.
Put twelve swap units in a zip type Baggie with your name prominently on the bag .
Bring to class on swap day (4/22-26, 2013. That is this week!)
Now, of course, you don’t have to swap to make the quilt. But swapping with fellow quilters is ALWAYS fun and broadens our fabric horizons! Set up your own swap with your quilt group. Check out my swap suggestion sheet. And my Swap Pattern Pack is available at my Craftsy Store.
