Ray’s Finds: The iChart
Our intrepid quilt collector, Ray, reports in with this beauty. Although it is obviously an antique, hand quilted, two color quilt, it is a true Modern Charmer!
Notice those upper right and lower left Rail blocks. They have their colors reversed. Don’t know why! And looking at the snippets of other blocks seen in the photo, I think the other blocks are made with consistent blocks. So maybe these were the maker’s humility blocks. This little difference really drew me in.I liked so much, i decided to pattern it and post it here. BUT when I started designing my version, I liked all the blocks the same better. So that is The iChart Quilt!
And talk about fun and simple! Wow!
Just strip piece the Rail blocks then stitch those into giant iChart blocks.
These alternate with equally giant plain blocks for a fresh, modern look.
Thanks, Ray for a keen eye and a wonderful design!
The iChart PDF is at the end of this post.
