Nautical Tumble Sampler Quilt: Block 18 – Lyle Hess Cat Boat
Isn’t this a handsome boat? Just made for a leisure day exploring the coastline… The gentle sea, magnificent rocks, and a good companion. Maybe that is what Lyle Hess, the Southern California Boat designer, had in mind when he designed this 16 foot beauty. I know a day like that is what I was thinking about as I made my block!
This compact vessel fits two berths, a motor and a head into its 16′ length but it has plenty of sail! It’s a pretty and capable boat.
