Elliott Miller Kunkle Has Arrived Early

Our first grandson, Elliott Miller Kunkle, arrived Friday, July 25, 2014 at about 1:30 am (nearly two weeks early) via C-section. He is in the NeoNatal ICU (NicU) because he has fluid in his lungs that showed up as breathing trouble about 1 hour into his life… but we know he is strong and will be OK.

He is 8 lbs 5 oz and 21 inches long and everyone can’t get over his size! He is an adorable, long-limbed baby boy.

Elliott has been in the NicU now for going on five days and will stay there til he gets better. His progress has been slow but steady. Each little improvement is a blessing.
Please excuse me not posting the next Game On! Mystery Clue while he recovers. And please send prayers and good thoughts Elliott’s way. Thanks!

How exciting to have your first grandchild Grandma! Congratulations. I remember the day my first grandchild was born very well. BEST feeling in the world. I’m sorry that your excitement that day was quickly turned to concern. I pray that all will be taken care of and soon that adorable child will be graduating from the NICU. I also know the feeling of seeing such a helpless little baby laying there in the NICU as well. My twins were in the NICU after they were born because they were at risk and born about 7 weeks early. You feel so helpless, but I hope you’ll soon be back to give us wonderful news Lyn!
