Commemorating The 100th Anniversary of the RMS Titanic
For all you history buffs out there (and since I’m talking to quilters, I know a lot of you are history lovers!) I have a special treat for you… A Titanic block!
The 100th anniversary of the tragic maiden voyage sinking of the majestic ship is coming up this Sunday, April 15, 2012. We were talking about it in class today and I thought it would be fun to design a block based on the ship. Now you don’t have to make a whole quilt of these blocks. How about adding one to the label of a quilt you are finishing up? It will make a nice tribute to all those lost souls.
Also on the PDF is a 100 block that could be an adjunct to the Titanic block or maybe you know someone who has made it to 100 and would like to commemorate that milestone with a quilt! What a great gift it would be to organize a Block Party for the lucky centenarian!
So here is the PDF:
Thanks for stopping by!
There will be another Quilter’s Alphabet Block each Thursday, early ABC blocks are here…. and our Spring Medallion Quilt continues on Saturdays. Our monthly Swap series and Monthly Doll Quilts/Table Toppers also continue so keep checking back. And be sure to look at our ETSY site for even more patterns.
