    Maine, The Pine Tree State, is our northernmost state on the Atlantic seaboard.  With the motto, “Dirigo” which means “I Lead” it isn’t surprisiong that the North Star is included on the Maine State seal and its flag.

    We had a great Wine & Cheese Preview Night last night and there is still a lot more fun to be had!!!!  Come to the Quilt Show today (Friday, 4/10) and tomorrow (Saturday, 4/11).  Tickets are only $10 (and get you in for both days!)!

    States Of Modern 13 – Illinois

    As I was researching Illinois, I fell in love with the eagle on their flag!  His is regal and tough and absolutely beautiful.  The banner he has in his beak on the flag says: State Sovereignty – National Union, the very crux of our governmental system.  I had to include him in this series, but there is a slight problem….
