I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! And I hope you saw our West Virginia/Virginia block. I got a little behind, but at this time of year, I hope I can be forgiven. This week we “visit” the gorgeous state of Washington.
You saw this coming… didn’t you? By combining these states into one block, we have a perfect 48 block quilt from our 50 state union. And West Virgina and Virginia combine perfectly.
Vermont is known as the Green Mountain State and was the first addition to the Union after the original thirteen colonies. I love the Vermont motto… Freedom and Unity. That’s life in a nutshell!
How appropriate that Texas is our state this week! The International Quilt Festival is going on now (Oct 29-Nov 1, 2015). It is the largest annual quilt show, sale and quiltmaking academy in the world. If you’ve never been, make plans to go!
