I took a lot of pics at the Long Beach Show. There is a new phone app called Qwiki that allows you to do a fancy slideshow of up to 25 snapshots… So I tried it!

Long Beach International Quilt Festival Quilt Show
Had a blast at LB IQF! Saw wonderfully creative projects both on the show floor and in the vendor booths. One of my favorite displays was of all the Modern quilts. I’ll do a separate post on that soon…

This Just In From Camp Watch-A-Patcher 2013…
It’s May already! Mother’s Day is May 12th and Camp Watch-A-Patcher is just around the corner.
How about telling your kids and hubby that they can get you the gift of Camp Watch-A-Patcher for Mother’s Day this year?
Whether it be one class, an evening program, or an entire camp experience, a book or a ruler for a class, or even just a gift card to your favorite shop to purchase supplies for Camp, it’ll be the perfect gift and an easy gift for any Mom (in addition to the chocolates).Haven’t signed up yet? There’s still a limited amount of openings in many classes. We also have several class offerings that do not require sewing machines. Or plan to come to our evening programs. The evening programs on Sunday (“Meet The Teachers”) and Tuesday (“Fun, Fast Fusing” with Frieda Anderson) are FREE to attend. The evening programs on Monday (“Trunk Show” with Joanna Figueroa) and Wednesday (“Trunk Show” with Kathy Brown, The Teacher’s Pet) are $5 with advance purchase.
….from Lyn Brown… I will be teaching four classes at Camp: Magic 9 Patch/Next Gen; Color Choice; The Tall Ship Pilgrim and Framed/Early Spring. Come and take a class with me……Come to Camp and have the time of your life!!!! There’s something for every quilter.
Please contact one of the directors if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you at Camp!

Quilt Daze Fun
We had a lot of fun at QuiltDaze in Yorba Linda last month. The quilts shared were spectacular. And there were so many, we had to fold some on tables.
Thank you to all who helped out… By allowing your quilts to be displayed or by helping to hang or take down or by quilt sitting or by just showing up to enjoy the show!
Also Many Thanks to the Yorba Linda Historical Society and Woman’s Club for allowing us to display our work. They do such a wonderful job putting this show on! And I am honored to be a part of QuiltDaze.
Here are two collages of the pics I took at the show. Wish I had taken more!It really was a fabulous display of our work over the last dozen years!
And it was so much fun to see old friends and make some new friends!
Speaking of which, our free quilting classes (thank you NOCCCD) start again on Monday, September 10 in north Orange County, California. Join us if you live in the area. My last post had more info and the necessary supply lists.
If you can’t join us in class, keep your eye here on LynBrown.Com where are the project info will be posted. As ever…
