Wheel Of Wonders… The Color Wheel! If you’ve never played with (learned how to use!) the color wheel, grab a book on the subject and find a whole new way of looking at fabric combinations. There are lots of quilter-oriented books on the subject.
W is a Whopper of a letter! I had to squeeze it a bit just to get it to fit on a 6″ block.
I know, I know… Doll quilts are usually traditional. But I thought, what kind of quilt does today’s little girl want? Surely, the trendy doll owner would like a trendy quilt! And this one is easy!
This is a pretty little block with lots of the traditional elements of Applique… Vines, Vases and Violets! I can’t believe I had such trouble coming up with this block. Once it came together, I fell in love and could not picture a more fitting quilter’s depiction of the letter V.
This quilt honors those who have fought for our country. Beginning with those brave men in Revolutionary times and following through to our brave troops today. We had a lively discussion in one of my classes this week about the depiction of the letter V and what it means to Quilters. I have a good mental picture of that block.
We’ve all been waiting to see the Irises bloom in the fall… At least in our Class Iris Block Swap! This traditional block is truly beautiful… And to see all the colors that other quilter’s choose is just too much fun! And they go together into such a beautiful quilt!
