TONIGHT! I will be speaking at the Acacia Guild TONIGHT, August 2, on Mystery Quilts and Quilt Mysteries. And I need YOUR QUILTS… Please dig out/borrow back/finish any of our past mysteries (we have done TEN mysteries through the years!) and bring them to share to the Buena Park Senior Center (on Knott south of La Palma). Wow-O-Wow! This is a wonderful block, isn’t it? And with the Bridges Method of Fusible appilique this is an easy block to make. No Piecing. No Matching those Corners. Just Snip, Snip, Snip!

Here is a traditional OLD pattern that an older child would have made to hone her skills. As a pieced pattern, this is a pretty difficult block, but as a fused appliqué block, it’s a snap. Give it a try and soon you’l be “Winging” along!
Something about the Nine Patch completely encapsulates Quiltmaking. It is geometry, fabric and craft all rolled together. So the 9 In 9 is a perfect representation of the letter “N” in our Quilters Alphabet.
