Burgoyne Surrounded Week Three – Uneven 9-Patches

I just spent the better part of an hour looking for a link to this fabulous sheet about Jane McCrea and her part in the American Revolution. I could not find it so I am posting it below.

If this is a breach of copyright, someone please let me know.If the sheet is somewhere on the net, please send me the link.   This sheet is so perfect to use as a label, I feel it should be accessible. The PDF is two pages. The Jane McCrea info is one page then info on General Burgoyne and the Battle of Saratoga is the other page.  You can download the PDF then print it to fabric using Printed Treasures or other printer friendly fabric sheets.

The Battle of Saratoga was a turning point of the American Revolution. The American forces surrounded Burgoyne’s Army, cutting them off from all British communications. The general had to surrender. That is what this quilt depicts. Burgoyne’s army is at the center of the block, represented by this week’s Uneven 9-Patch. The Americans are the circle surrounding the center. You could even consider the part of the chain outside the circle (like the 4-Patches from Week One) more British, the British Burgoyne was cut off from.
So this week we are making Burgoyne’s Army… The Uneven 9-Patch.
