Quite often, lovely quilts have beautiful appliquéd Scallop borders… Which got me thinking… Could a scallop border be pieced?

I have been going round and round on what our H block should be… Half hexagons? But we just did Gramdmas Glorious Garden with lots of hexes. I got some wonderful suggestions from the comments on last weeks post but then it came to me! Hawaiian Hibiscus Appliqué! Heavenly!

Yellow can be a difficult color to work with. It can take over the whole design but this quilt incorporates lots of yellow and is going to really shine!

I suppose it is the hubbub leading up to the commemoration of the hundredth anniversary of sinking of RMS Titanic that brought about this fun little quilt design.

Spacer borders are often vital to attaining the desired look of a quilt. This is especially true for Medallion Quilts since they are all borders!

I want to thank everyone who acknowledged that I am moving toward posting just the outline of our blocks to save on ink and wear and tear. I will try to be consistent in this.
This “H” block is nice and bold.
