What A Great Guild! Valley Quilters In Hemet
I had a wonderful time on Tuesday visiting with the Valley Quilters Guild in Hemet, California. My lecture subject was PreCut Paradise and together we examined about 30 quilts made with precut pieces of fabric. Tonight, Thursday June 25, I am giving this same lecture at Night Owls Quilt Guild in Rancho Cucamonga (Meeting is in the David Dreier Hall at James L. Brulte Senior Center; 11200 Baseline Road; Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91701.) Meeting starts at 7!
The Valley Quilters meet in this expansive room and they’re a very friendly group. They are actively helping groups in their community from hospice to the police department. I told you they were wonderful group!
And the reception to my lecture was just wonderful. I think we quilters purchase these precut bundles but then are uncertain how to use them. Fat Quarter Packs, Charm Squares, Jelly Rolls, Bali Pops, Layer Cakes and all the other Pre-Cut goodies seem too pretty to unwrap, cut up and sew back together. Still, I’ve begun to realize… It’s better to admire these wonders in an actual quilt! And I was tickled to share the results with the Valley Quilters.
Many Thanks to this wonderful Guild!

Here are some links to my patterns that can all be made with a Layer Cake Pack of 10″ Squares… And they are all just 99 cents on Craftsy!
Thanks again to the Valley Quilters Guild in Hemet for a delightfully inspiring visit!
