I am honored, tickled and pleased to once again have a quilt in the new issue of Quilters World magazine. The quilt, titled Grandma’s Victory, is a simplified version of a quilt made by my husband’s grandmother, Fron Miller Brown Prosser, sometime in the middle of the last half of the 20th century.
So pick up your copy today of Quilters World Spring 2015 and look for my quilt on page 58. The quilt features luscious Hoffman California Batiks and wonderful quilting by Jami Goto.
Tho this design is a based upon a quilt that my husband’s grandmother made at least 40 years ago, I redrafted the block to remove some set-in seams. However, the integrity of the design is intact.
Grandma used lots of scraps and that pink accent. And her quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted.
