Do You See…? Block Of The Week Bonus Block And Sashing

Wow! What A Year! Wasn’t it fun to have Christmas all year long? I have loved designing these blocks. Especially in the dog days of summer… It was cooling to think about frosty Christmas days to come!

DoUC 49 Gift Tag

So here is a Do You See…? Bonus Block. It’s a Gift Tag (Thanks to Becky for  the idea!) so you can either use it as a block on the front (If you missed a block, didn’t care for one or want to have 49 blocks set 7 X 7) OR use it as your label on the back of your quilt and include your label info in addition to the to and from info shown above (and on the Pattern PDF)

ALSO I have the Do You See…?  Sashing and Cornerstones PDF for you. It is pretty straightforward with 1″ Sashing and Cornerstones using my Ls of Sashing method. If you haven’t used this method before, it’s pretty slick… Check it out!

I still have one more surprise… Check back here at LynBrown.com next Thursday for the Do You See…? border design.

Here is the Archive of Do You See Blocks.

So I appreciate your responses about doing State Blocks. My thought is to design simple pieced blocks that relate each to an American state in some way. I have some thoughts but want to actually design a few blocks before publishing a supply list. Keep your eye on this site in the coming days! (Did you know you can subscribe to my site? Just plug your email in the box at right and you’ll get an email each time I publish a new post!)

Happy New Year – I really miss your classes and your inspirations. I will make small wall hangings from the Do You See patterns – I have most of them made, some sewed down, and all look wonderful. Thanks for your patterns and I do watch your site at least once a week.

I forgot to reply to your question of state blocks, I think it is a wonderful idea! I’ve been wanting to do the states where we have lived and where we have family living. Hope all is well with you and your family. We’re doing fine, had some great news at Thanksgiving time – we’re going to be Great Grandparents!!

I just came across your site yesterday and was blown away by all the wonderful patterns in your Do You See? series. You have been so gracious with your time and talent as the above poster also noted. Thank you so very much for this blessing. I will work on this for 2015. I’m pretty new to applique, so I really appreciate the links to your tutorials you made. Again, thanks so much for all your do. Blessings and Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Lyn, I want to thank you for sharing your time and talents with this project and all the other free designs over the years. For now, as my sewing time is limited due to some life changes and challenges, I have just collected the Christmas patterns. Some may land in another Christmas quilt I have started as well. I appreciate seeing what you come up with! Merry Christmas and enjoy that new grandbaby!
