OOPS! I forgot to post the pattern earlier. I have added it now!
Here’s a fun little quilt (well, 48″ x 64″) that is quick and easy to make. My sample is made from terrific New York City fabric from CityQuilter.com. Check out that Bagel fabric!
Actually I bought the fabric (some Fat Quarters, some yardage) at The City Quilter when I visited New York last December but most of the fabric is available on their site. In fact, they have even newer fabric available that looks really wonderful.

BUT you could make this with any great group of fabrics you want to display to best avail. Think patriotic… Think Kaffe Fassett… Think children’s prints! Some large pieces and some Fat Quarters, a lot of variety or just a little!
This would even make a great modern quilt with white Sashing between all the pieces… Hmmm… Stay tuned for that!
(I’ll write the Modern City Blocks pattern and post it in a few days. )
In the meantime, this fun City Blocks quilt makes up in a snap with its large pieces. If you use directional fabrics like the New York fabrics, you need to watch the orientation of the motifs and the pattern addresses that.
So if you have fabulous fabrics to show off, try this simple, graphic quilt today! And let me know what fabrics you are gonna use… I’d love that!
Here is the pattern…. Sorry I forgot to post this earlier today!
Do you need more of a quilting “fix”? Here at LynBrown.Com, there is always a lot going on, like our ongoing Spring Medallion Quilt, our Doll Quilt/Table Topper series, more of the Quilter’s Alphabet Block of the Week and our monthly 8″ swap/scrap quilt patterns. Browse around, there’s even more than that to see. And be sure to look at our Etsy site for even more patterns.
Thanks for stopping by!
