(Note to Students: No Class on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, due to Jury Duty but I am pretty sure we will be back in session for FRIDAY! WOOHOO!)
You may be thinking… Mid Century Modern Chevron? Huh?
But this block salutes Charles Schulz, Peanuts and Charlie Brown.
Yep… This represents the Charlie Brown Chevron, the one on his shirt. The Peanuts strip was launched in October 1950. Can’t get much more Mid Century than that! And Charles Schulz Lived in Santa Rosa, CA!
The Chevron design is classic Mid Century. You can see it here on the Montgomery Ward Building in Honer Plaza at 17th and Bristol in Santa Ana, Ca. It opened in 1960.
And look for Chevrons on the CSUFullerton campus. They are on the Gym and the Engineering Bldg. Once you start looking for them, you’ll see Chevrons all over Mid Century Modern Design.
So create your own bit of Mid Century Modern Design with the Chevrons MCM Quilt Block…

What happened to the “Do you see?” #6 Pattern? We’re you going to post that next week?
Ah, Isabel, you caught me! The pattern is done but I haven’t made my block. Between my cold and jury duty, I just haven’t finished it! I was working on it earlier. I will try to finish tonight, take a pic and then post it. With apologies,
Lyn
