Last Fall, Hurricane Sandy hit the East Coast hard. When the storm finally passed, the Barnegat Bay Lighthouse stood as a testament to the enduring determination of the residents of that area and a shining beacon for their recovery.
So we salute the resolute population of the Eastern Seaboard in their recovery efforts with this applique quilt block depicting the beloved “Old Barney.” If you have a different favorite lighthouse, do a little research online and create your own pattern to fit on a 12″ block.
