    Thanks for this quilt-along. I had meant to make a Burgoyne Surrounded quilt for some time and this gave me the inspiration to do it. I decided to make a few modification to the quilt setting and blogged about my choices at http://www.itsthecatshouse.blogspot.com/2012/10/burgoyne-variation-or-heresy.html

    I would be interested in others’ opinions on my changes. I’m very happy with the secondary pattern made by the pieced units in the sashing. With all those additional squares I thought the checkerboard border could be omitted.
