12 Monthly Minis
One of the unsung high points of my 2011 was designing (along with some wonderful student designers!) these little quilts. How often do we let the seasons pass by while barely noticing Nature changing. These little 8″ X 10″ quilts can help to remind us to look around. It would be a lovely ritual to change the quilts at the first of the month before paying the bills or some other monthly chore.
This pattern pack includes three bonus minis in addition to twelve Monthly Minis… One extra Christmas Mini, A Birthday Mini and the popular Bird and Branch Mini. These little gems are fun to do and FINISHABLE! With so little free time in life that is a nice feature in a project! They are also very GIVEABLE! Make one for someone special or make one from each season, package with a frame and you have a terrific gift!
As most of you know, we’ve done much more than these Minis in class. For 2012, we will be doing a series of Doll Quilts, a Medallion quilt, our Quilter’s Alphabet quilt along with our new year of Fabric Swaps (This year, 8″ squares!) …WOW!!!! And our first project, Rockin Roll (Supply List available here), begins on Saturday, January 7 so stay tuned!
