About Lyn Brown

Lyn Brown has been teaching quilting in Orange County, CA for over 12 years. In 2000, she joined the faculty of North Orange County Community College District. Lyn now teaches five quilting classes a week for the college district, reaching nearly 200 students. Her projects come fast and furious, including swaps, mysteries, reproduction, contemporary with a little bit of art thrown in. Many of the quilts are Lyn’s own designs and this blog is one way she shares her patterns.

On occasion, Lyn speaks and teaches for Southern California Quilt Guilds. Sharing quilts and secrets, Lyn brings a whole trunk show of quilts with her when she speaks and her workshops are filled with quick techniques and sneaky tricks.

Before discovering quilting, Lyn ran her own publishing company, writing and publishing Personalized Romance Novels… She was even written up in USA Today once!

And before that, she worked in her dad’s engineering firm… They sold steam control equipment to the likes of the US Navy and Edison. Somehow, Lyn is always doing something to generate warmth… But it is with quilting she has found her heart.
