Here is my quiltlet exploring Contrast, our first principle as we explore Art. As quilters, we look for contrast when we sew two fabrics together. The contrast can be provided by color, value, texture, scale… It is a juxtaposition of elements that results in contrast… and that contrast can be subtle like two analagous fabrics or hit us over the head like black and white!
